Kiyomi Yui
Born in Tokyo, based in Amsterdam
Writer and photographer
I approach my work with genuine curiosity, looking for new contexts that might change how things are seen and what they might become. Moving between places and points of view, I focus on what becomes visible from elsewhere, especially when what is already known no longer quite fits.
Much of my work has developed between Japan and the Netherlands. My growing curiosity about the geopolitical context of Europe has taken me further across the continent.
